Signature Program
Sustainability by Design
Most nonprofits aren't one grant away from stability. They're one system away.
Sustainability by Design is a cohort-based program that helps nonprofit leaders build the revenue infrastructure, funding relationships, and back-office systems their organizations need to stop surviving and start sustaining. Participants don't just learn fundraising strategy. They implement it in real time.
For funders, municipalities, and membership associations, this program offers a way to strengthen entire ecosystems of community-based organizations, not just individual grantees.

What we offer institutional partners
Cohort Design & Facilitation
Core Offering
We build multi-organization training programs from the ground up. That includes curriculum development, logistics planning, participant selection criteria, facilitation, and graduation benchmarks.
Our cohorts are designed to create peer accountability between participants, not just deliver content. Organizations learn from each other as much as they learn from us, which means the network outlasts the program.
Grant Training Program
Proven Model
We take grassroots organizations from formation through grant readiness with structured training, hands-on workshops, and individual coaching. Participants leave with actual grant submissions, not just knowledge.
Our Columbus City Council program took 22 startup nonprofits through this process. By graduation, participants had secured over $2 million in grants with another $10 million in pending asks.
Peer Group Management
Ongoing
Ongoing facilitation of peer learning communities for groups of nonprofit leaders, department heads, or program managers. We provide structured agendas, accountability frameworks, and cross-pollination between participants.
This is ideal for membership organizations like the Human Service Chamber, where 200+ members benefit from regular professional development touchpoints.
Program Evaluation
Add-on
We define success metrics at the start of every engagement and track progress throughout. Our evaluation frameworks satisfy funder reporting requirements while generating insights that improve future programming.
For government partners, this means you get the documentation you need for council reports, grant renewals, and budget justifications.
Ideal Partners
Who this is for
Municipal governments
City councils, county agencies, and local government bodies looking to invest in the capacity of community-based organizations in their jurisdiction.
State and federal programs
Agencies administering grants or technical assistance programs that need experienced facilitators to deliver training at the community level.
Membership associations
Nonprofit associations, chambers, and coalitions that provide professional development and capacity-building programming for their members.
Institutional funders
Foundations and corporate giving programs that want to invest in structured capacity-building for their grantee portfolios rather than funding individual organizations in isolation.
